How Marko got to UNG
Kai Marko joins the Nighthawks in 2025 as a freshman from Rivers Academy and a native of Roswell, Ga. At Rivers Academy, Marko was a member of one of the most dominant high school teams in the country. Rivers Academy won the Georgia High School State Championship in 2022 in the AA IND division and again in 2023 in the AAA PVT division. With a runner-up finish in 2024 as a team, Marko posted his career-best individual performance in the state tournament with a seventh-place finish at 4-under par. He was also a three-time National Champion with Rivers Academy as they won the National High School Golf Association (NHSGA) in three straight years from 2022-2024. Marko finished in the top 80 in each of those years with a career-best 16th-place standing in 2022. Marko said "UNG stood out because of their winning culture and mentality."
