High School: A four-sport athlete in high school, Guthrie earned 12 varsity letters in high school including four in both basketball and football and two in baseball and track & field ... as a senior during the 2010-11 school year, he was named a captain for both his basketball and football squads ... he averaged12.5 points per game his senior season ... in football, he was named to the 2011 All-State second team as a punter and was a first team All-Region selection as a quarterback ... in track & field, Guthrie set the school record in the 400 meter race, long jump and helped set the school record in the 4x400 meter relay ... in 2011, he finished seventh in the state in the triple jump.
