How Bureau got to UNG
Stone Bureau comes to UNG as a freshman out of Lake Worth, Fla. and Calvary Christian Academy. Bureau was an all-around contributor for the Eagles as a senior last season. He averaged 7.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.5 steals per game. A multi-sport athlete, Bureau also participated in football, track and field, soccer and taekwondo. In fact, he finished in second place (triple jump), sixth place (long jump) and eighth place (high jump) at the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) Track & Field State Championships back in May. Back on the hardwood, Bureau made a name for himself as one of just 23 players from Florida to be nominated for the McDonald's All-America Game. Bureau chose UNG because "it was like a brotherhood and all of the coaches had positive things to say and made me feel like I was at home."
