How Shutters got to UNG
Jack Shutters begins his collegiate career with UNG after a strong stretch at Baylor School in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tenn. With the Red Raiders, Shutters averaged 10.2 points and 6.2 rebounds per game as the team went 21-6 his senior season, losing in the state quarterfinals. Shutters, a 6-foot-10, 245 lb force to be reckoned with, also excelled in football at Baylor, while also playing soccer and baseball growing up. He was a tight end and defensive lineman for Baylor's 2023 State Championship football team. Jack's younger brother, Sam, is currently a punter for the Red Raiders and their father, Patrick, played Division I football at Chattanooga in 2002 and 2003.
