Josh Travis

Josh Travis is entering his 16th season with the University of North Georgia men's basketball program and his 15th as the assistant coach of the Nighthawks. During his tenure at UNG, the program has posted a 192-205 mark, including berths in the semifinals of the 2007-08 and 2012-13 Peach Belt Conference basketball tournaments. Travis assists with all aspects of the men's basketball program.

After serving as a graduate assistant in 2003-2004, Travis was promoted to assistant coach. Along with coaching, he is an instructor in the Health and Physical Education department and received his Master of Education in Physical Education at North Georgia.

Travis came to Dahlonega from Reinhardt College where he served as an assistant coach for the women's basketball team in 2002-2003, and as an assistant coach for the men's basketball team in 2001-2002. He played basketball at Truett McConnell for two seasons in 1997-99 and then transferred to Reinhardt where he played during the 2000-01 season.

Travis and his wife, Sasha, reside in Dawsonville.
