How Triche got to UNG
Tyler Triche is the latest Georgia Southern transfer to be added to the UNG baseball program this season. He spent his first two years with the Eagles, redshirting his freshman year before making his debut as a sophomore. Triche appeared in one game and had his first career at bat last season against Radford. He comes from Georgia Southern where a notable current Nighthawk product also once transferred from. UNG's lone PBC all-conference selection from the 2024 season, Phillip Ard, was also once an Eagle before transferring to Dahlonega. Ard and Tricher were once teammates during the 2023 season when Triche was a freshman and Ard was a redshirt-freshman. Triche also has other relations to UNG prior to his commitment as his two sisters, Jordan and Ainsley, are both UNG graduates. He comes from an athletic family as well as his father, Bryan, played baseball at Mississippi STate and his mother, Stefanie, played basketball Holmes Community College. Triche said, "North Georgia always stood out to me as a great place to play. From the facilities to baseball history, UNG always seemed like the place to be!"
