Western Kentucky: Went 1-3 in 31 appearances out of the bullpen for the Hilltoppers, throwing 29.1 innings ... struck out 29 batters in the two seasons at WKU

High School: Lettered all four years in baseball and football for the Aces ... pitched 64.1 innings as a senior with a 2.10 ERA and 128 strikeouts, which led the state until the team was knocked out in postseason play ... threw three no-hitters as a senior and earned First Team All-State distinction ... pitched 68.1 innings as a junior with a 2.64 ERA and 95 strikeouts ... earned All-District honors three years in a row
