How Elam got to UNG
Dominic Elam will don a blue and white uniform this season after spending the last two years in Cuthbert, Ga. at junior college Andrew College. With the Tigers, Elam played in 66 games over two seasons as a catcher. He hit for a career batting average of .278 over 187 at bats in that span which included an on-base percentage of .406 and a slugging percentage of .390. Elam showed surprising power in his first year on campus with three home runs as a freshman for the Tigers in 2023. He's shown great plat discipline with only 37 strikeouts and 31 walks worked in two seasons. In Elam's freshman season, he helped the Tigers to a Georgia College Athletic Association (GCAA) Conference Championship and an appearance in the in the NJCAA World Series. He cited the coaching staff's hospitatlity and the beautiful campus and facilities as driving reasons for his commitment to the Nighthawks.
