Nick Palmer

Nick Palmer is entering his 15th season as an Assistant Coach at the University of North Georgia following a five year playing career. Palmer assists in the everyday operations of the baseball program and works with the catchers and hitters on a day-to-day basis.

Palmer has helped direct the Nighthawks to three Peach Belt Conference regular season championships in 2015, 2017 and 2019, with the teams going to the Southeast Regional final in 2015 and 2017. In 2017, the Nighthawks claimed the NCAA DII Southeast Region Championship to advance to the program's first ever NCAA Division II Baseball Championship.

In 2019, North Georgia ranked in the top three in the Peach Belt in multiple offensive categories including doubles and homeruns. 

Palmer spent five years as a member of the North Georgia baseball program and was a member of the 2005 NAIA Conference Tournament Championship team and the 2008 Peach Belt Conference Tournament Championship team. He was also a part of the program’s first-ever trip to the NCAA Division II Tournament in 2008.

The Cleveland, Georgia, native is a 2009 graduate of North Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. He also holds a Master of Art in Teaching from UNG. He is married to his wife, Meredith, with two kids, Cash and Braxton.
