2025 Season
In the circle, Poss appeared in 33 games for the Nighthawks with 20 starts. A consistent starting pitcher for North Georgia this season, she posted a 3.34 ERA in 163.1 innings with 141 strikeouts while holding opponents to a .270 batting average. Poss ranked top 10 in the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) in strikeouts, strikeouts per seven innings (6.0), innings pitched, pitching appearances, games started, complete games (10), wins (20) and WHIP (1.41). A dual-threat player, Poss also posted a .299 batting average in 97 at-bats to go along with 29 hits, 20 runs scored, 25 RBIs, and two home runs.
2024 Season
Poss appeared in 18 games for the Nighthawks, starting three of them. She posted a .316 batting average in 19 at-bats to go along with six hits, three runs scored, four RBIs and one home run.
The Road to UNG
Poss came to UNG in 2024 after spending her freshman year at Samford University in Homewood, Ala. During the 2023 season with the Bulldogs, Poss appeared in 18 games with six starts, batted .143 with two RBIs in 21 at-bats. She also made three appearances in the circle as she posted a 4.50 ERA over 9.1 innings.
Before Samford, Poss prepared for her collegiate softball career at Briarwood Academy in Warrenton, Ga. She recorded seven home runs her senior year, posted a .560 batting average with 55 RBIs her junior year and represented Briarwood in the GISA All-Star Game in 2021. Poss was a decorated high school softball player, being named a two-time MVP, Offensive Player of the Year and earning All-State and All-Region honors three times. Poss said, “After my freshman year I wanted to move closer to home and find the love for the game again...I love being in a place where everyone supports everyone. This place is special.”
