University of West Georgia: Wright was a three-year starter for the Wolves … He ended his time in the top-five all-time for career hits … He also boasted a batting average of .366 in Gulf South Conference games going 67-183 in 2011 … Also in 2011, he was second in all of NCAA Division II for sacrifice bunts … He also swiped 23 bases in 2011 … Was named to the Gulf South Conference All-Academic Team in both 2010 and 2011.

Bremen High School: Wright played three years at Bremen High School … In 2008, he was named his team’s MVP and was named to the All-State First Team … He was a tw0-time All-Area First Team selection in both 2007 and 2008.
