DAHLONEGA – University of North Georgia (UNG) men's golfer Ashton Eubanks has been named the Peach Belt Conference Men's Golfer of the Week following his record-setting performance at the 5th annual Lake Lanier Collegiate Classic.
Eubanks earned individual medalist honors at the tournament, finishing 18-under-par with a three-round score of 192. His 18-under total set a Lake Lanier Collegiate Classic scoring record and established a new UNG program record for a 54-hole score.
Eubanks opened the tournament with a 5-under-par 65 before firing a tournament-record 7-under-par 63 in the second round. He closed with a 64 to finish at 18-under for the tournament.
The senior's performance helped the No. 2 Nighthawks finish first in the team standings with 34-under-par 806, the second-best finish in program history.
