DAHLONEGA – The No. 14 University of North Georgia (UNG) men's golf team set a tournament scoring record, and Ashton Eubanks had a record-setting performance as the Nighthawks captured the Lake Lanier Collegiate Classic title Tuesday at Achasta Golf Club.

North Georgia finished the 54-hole tournament at 34-under-par 806, setting a tournament record and recording the second-best team score in program history. The Nighthawks closed the tournament with a 13-under-par 267 in the final round to secure the team title.

Eubanks claimed individual medalist honors after finishing at 18-under-par 192, setting a tournament scoring record and breaking UNG's program record for a 54-hole score. His 18-under-par total came after rounds of 65, 63 and 64.

Eubanks also set a tournament round record with his 7-under-par 63 in the second round.

North Georgia's final-round 267 was led by Eubanks, who carded a 6-under-par 64. Grant Langford followed with a 3-under-par 67, while Drew Sutherland and Cole Packingham each shot 2-under-par 68. Kai Marko rounded out the scoring lineup with an even-par 70.

The Nighthawks opened the final day with a strong position after shooting 16-under-par 264 in the second round. Eubanks led the team with a 63. Langford shot a 5-under-par 65, while Sutherland shot 3-under-par 67. Packingham added a 1-under-par 69, and Marko carded a 3-over-par 73.

Eubanks' record-setting tournament highlighted a strong individual showing for the Nighthawks. Langford finished at 7-under-par, while Sutherland finished at 4-under-par.

North Georgia's B team finished 12th at 11-over-par 851. The B team shot 6-over-par 286 in the second round before closing with a 2-over-par 282.

Colby Bennett led the B team in the final round with a 2-under-par 68. Jack Rowe and Jack Wenzel each shot 1-over-par 71, followed by Maddox Drake at 2-over-par 72 and Rhett Smith at 3-over-par 73.

Dayton Humphrey, competing individually, added a 2-over-par 72, while James Douglas and Tanner Millar each shot 10-over-par 80.

In the second round, Rowe and Drake each shot even-par 70, while Bennett and Smith each carded a 3-over-par 73. Wenzel added a 4-over-par 74, while Douglas, competing individually, also shot 74. Millar and Humphrey finished at 8-over-par 78 and 9-over-par 79, respectively.

North Georgia returns to action Sept. 28-29 for the Regional Preview in Dade City, Fla.
