DAHLONEGA – The University of North Georgia (UNG) women's basketball team has announced its 2026-27 schedule, featuring a challenging nonconference slate and 20 Peach Belt Conference games.
The Nighthawks open the season at home Nov. 9 against Albany State at Lynn Cottrell Arena at the UNG Convocation Center.
North Georgia then heads to Georgia College for the Conference Crossover Nov. 13-14. The Nighthawks will face Emmanuel on Nov. 13 before taking on Young Harris on Nov. 14.
The Nighthawks return home for the UNG Nighthawk Classic, where they will face Catawba and Carson-Newman. North Georgia will then close out its nonconference schedule with matchups against Lenoir-Rhyne on Nov. 24, Carson-Newman on Dec. 1 and North Greenville on Dec. 29.
North Georgia begins PBC play Dec. 5, hosting Clayton State. The Nighthawks will continue conference play throughout December, January and February before closing out the regular season on the road against USC Beaufort in Bluffton, South Carolina, on Feb. 27.
The Nighthawks' final home game of the regular season is set for Feb. 24 against Augusta.
The Peach Belt Conference Tournament begins March 3, with first-round games hosted on the campuses of the higher seeds.
North Georgia looks to build on its 2025-26 campaign under head coach
Buffie Burson. The Nighthawks finished last season with a 19-13 overall record and a 13-7 mark in PBC play, earning a third-place finish in the regular-season standings.
