MCCORMICK, S.C. – The No. 14 University of North Georgia (UNG) men's golf team sits in second place after two rounds of the 2026 Savannah Lakes Men's Invitational, hosted by Lander, Monday.
USC Aiken leads the field by 14 strokes after carding a 30-under-par 546 through two rounds. The Nighthawks sit in second at 16-under-par 560, one stroke ahead of Erskine, which finished the day at 15-under-par.
Cole Packingham and
Ashton Eubanks led the Nighthawks, finishing tied for eighth at 5-under-par. Packingham opened with an even-par 72 before firing a 5-under-par 67 in the second round, while Eubanks posted rounds of 70 and 69.
Drew Sutherland carded a 1-under-par 71 in the opening round before improving to a 2-under-par 70 in the second.
Kai Marko followed a 4-over-par 76 with a 5-under-par 67, while
Grant Langford posted rounds of 3-over-par 75 and 3-under-par 69.
Competing as individuals for the Nighthawks,
Colby Bennett carded rounds of 72 and 78,
Jack Rowe posted rounds of 79 and 75, and
Rhett Smith finished with rounds of 73 and 72.
The Nighthawks return to action Tuesday morning for the third and final round of the tournament.
