North Georgia Men’s Golf Releases Fall 2026 Schedule

7/21/2026 1:13:00 PM

DAHLONEGA – The University of North Georgia (UNG) men's golf team has announced its fall schedule for the 2026-27 season.

Coming off the program's sixth-straight trip to the NCAA Division II South/Southeast Regional and three top-two team finishes during the regular season in 2025-26, the Nighthawks are poised to put together another successful year.

The fall campaign kicks off on Sept. 14-15 at the Savannah Lakes Fall Invitational in McCormick, S.C. UNG has seen much success at the Monticello Golf Club in recent years with a pair of first place finishes to open the last two seasons, highlighted by a team score of 8-under par to win last year's invitational by 15 shots.

For the first time since the 2022-23 season, the Nighthawks will compete in the Gold City as hosts of the 5th Annual Lake Lanier Collegiate Classic at Achasta Golf Club in Dahlonega, Ga. on Sept. 21-22. Due to scheduled renovations at the tournament's previous location, Chattahoochee Golf Club, North Georgia will get to play on its home course just two miles away from the UNG Dahlonega campus.

UNG will follow up its home tournament with a big test at the NCAA Regional Preview in Dade City, Fla. on Sept. 28-29.

Two weeks later, the Nighthawks will return to the Sunshine State for the Copperhead Championship on Oct. 12-13 at the Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor, Fla.

For the second-straight year, the Nighthawks will wrap up the fall portion of their schedule at the GolfWeek Fripp Island Collegiate at Fripp Island Resort in Fripp Island, S.C. Last year, the individual medalist of the tournament received an exception into PGA Tour's event in Bermuda, the Butterfield Bermuda Championship.
