DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The University of North Georgia (UNG) women's track and field team wrapped up competition Saturday at the Peach Belt Conference Outdoor Championship, highlighted by a top-10 finish from Aubrey Dishman and multiple distance efforts in the 5,000 meters.
Embry-Riddle claimed the team title with 289 points across the two-day meet.
Dishman earned All-Sportsmanship Team honors and turned in North Georgia's top individual finish of the day, placing sixth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:19.84.
In the 5,000 meters, Ahna Hicks led the Nighthawks with a 12th-place finish in 18:49.70. Erin O'Brien followed in 18th at 19:17.16, while Jordan Starling (19:26.91) and Tessie Braman (19:58.88) placed 20th and 22nd, respectively.
North Georgia also saw a seventh place showing in the 4x400-meter relay, as the quartet of Dishman, Natalie Long, Katelyn Harper and Hicks crossed the line in 4:09.93.
The Nighthawks return to action May 9 at the Lee Last Chance Meet in Cleveland, Tennessee.
