NORMAN, Okla. – University of North Georgia (UNG) men's golfer
Hunter Smith has been named to the NCAA Division II PING All-Southeast Region Team, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).
Smith earned one of the region's top honors after a strong 2025-26 campaign in which he consistently led the Nighthawks lineup throughout the season.
In addition to his all-region selection, Smith was named a Peach Belt Conference First Team All-Conference honoree.
The senior posted multiple top-10 finishes during the year, including a fifth-place finish at the Copperhead Championship and Tennessee River Rumble. He also finished sixth at the Savannah Lakes Men's Fall Invitational, seventh at the LMU Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate and tied for ninth at the Argonaut Invitational.
Smith added another top-10 performance at the UNG Mizuno Intercollegiate, finishing tied for 10th.
At the NCAA Division II South/Southeast Regional, Smith paced the Nighthawks with a top-20 individual finish.
PING All-Region honors are awarded annually to the top NCAA Division II golfers across eight regions nationwide. In 2026, players from 59 schools earned all-region recognition.
