DAHLONEGA – University of North Georgia (UNG) softball player Chloe Poss has been named the Peach Belt Conference Pitcher of the Week for the fourth time this season, the league announced Monday.

Poss delivered a dominant performance in the circle, tossing a five-inning complete-game shutout in an 8-0 victory over Middle Georgia. She allowed just one hit and did not surrender a run while striking out eight of the 16 batters she faced. Opponents hit just .063 against her in the outing.

The weekly honor adds to an already impressive season for Poss, who currently leads the Peach Belt Conference in wins (21), strikeouts looking (51) and earned run average (1.86). She ranks second in total strikeouts (132) and saves (2) and sits third in opposing batting average (.205) and innings pitched (157.2).

Poss and the Nighthawks return to action May 2 as they host Augusta for the final Peach Belt Conference series of the regular season at Haines & Carolyn Hill Stadium.
