ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The No. 11 University of North Georgia (UNG) men's golf team remains in sixth place after the second round of the Peach Belt Conference Championship on Monday.
The Nighthawks entered the day tied for sixth with Lander but created separation in round two, outshooting the Bearcats by 11 strokes. North Georgia posted a team score of 309 in the second round.
Colby Bennett led the Nighthawks with a 1-over 73 and sits in 11th place individually heading into the final round.
Rhett Smith carded a 5-over 77, while Garrett Horton followed with a 6-over 78. Hunter Smith and Grant Langford each finished with rounds of 9-over 81.
The third and final round of the tournament is scheduled to begin Tuesday morning at 7:40 a.m.
