DAHLONEGA – The University of North Georgia (UNG) men's golf team placed two student athletes on the Peach Belt Conference All-Conference team, with Hunter Smith earning first-team honors and Colby Bennett being named to the second team, the league announced Friday.
With the conference tournament set to tee off Sunday, the Peach Belt Conference released its 2025-26 men's golf All-Conference teams. Postseason awards are nominated and voted on by the league's coaches.
Smith has turned in a strong campaign, recording six top finishes this season. His top performances came at the Argonaut Invitational, where he carded a 6-under-par 210 to finish in the top 10, and at the Tennessee River Rumble, where he shot an even-par 216 to place fifth.
Bennett highlighted his season with a victory at the UNG Mizuno Intercollegiate, firing a 7-under-par 209 to claim medalist honors. He also posted a 5-under-par 211 at the Las Vegas Desert Classic, finishing fifth and earning all-tournament team recognition.
The Nighthawks will travel to St. Augustine, Florida, on Sunday to begin play at the Peach Belt Conference Championship.
