DAHLONEGA - University of North Georgia (UNG) catcher Kyle Robitzsch has been named the Peach Belt Conference Player of the Week after leading the Nighthawks to a 3-1 record, including a series victory over Columbus State that clinched the PBC regular-season title.
Robitzsch hit .600 on the week with a 1.133 slugging percentage and a .632 on-base percentage, tallying nine hits, six RBI and seven runs scored. He added two doubles and two home runs during the four-game stretch, powering North Georgia's offense in a pivotal week.
For the season, Robitzsch ranks among the conference leaders, sitting second in on-base percentage (.508), sixth in batting average (.390), seventh in RBI (46) and ninth in on-base plus slugging percentage (1.042).
