DAHLONEGA - University of North Georgia (UNG) baseball player Brody Yeomans has been named this week's Peach Belt Conference Player of the Week after a dominant four-game stretch at the plate.
Yeomans helped power the Nighthawks to a 3-1 record last week, including a series sweep of Claflin, finishing 9-for-16 with a home run in each of the four games he played. The performance resulted in 11 RBI and 11 runs scored for the week.
The junior posted a .563 batting average with a 1.200 slugging percentage and a .600 on-base percentage during the stretch. In addition to his four home runs, Yeomans added a triple among his nine hits.
On the season, Yeomans ranks fourth in the Peach Belt Conference with 29 RBI. His five home runs are tied for the second-most in the conference this year.
The No. 14 Nighthawks return to action March 10 as they face Auburn Montgomery at Bob Stein Stadium.
