DAHLONEGA – The University of North Georgia (UNG) women's track and field team has been selected seventh in the Peach Belt Conference preseason poll, as voted on by the league's head coaches.

North Georgia received 16 points in the poll after finishing seventh in the conference standings last season. The Nighthawks are aiming to return to the NCAA Championships for the first time since the 2022 season.

Embry-Riddle claimed the top spot in the preseason rankings with 46 points and seven first-place votes, followed by Flagler with 42 points and one first-place vote. Augusta was picked third with 39 points, while Clayton State (26), Columbus State (23) and Lander (21) rounded out the middle of the poll. USC Beaufort finished eighth with 11 points.

The Nighthawks open the 2026 season on March 7 at the Victor Icebreaker Duals in Mount Berry, Georgia.
