SALISBURY, N.C. – The University of North Georgia (UNG) outfielder Brody Yeomans was named National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Southeast Region Player of the Week, for Week Six, the organization announced Tuesday afternoon.

Yeomans, a sophomore from Hoboken, Ga. helped power the Nighthawks to a 3-1 record last week, including a series sweep of Claflin, finishing 9-for-16 with a home run in each of the four games he played.

The performance resulted in 11 RBI and 11 runs scored for the week. He posted a .563 batting average with a 1.200 slugging percentage and a .600 on-base percentage during the stretch. In addition to his four home runs, Yeomans added a triple among his nine hits.

Yeomans will advance to NCBWA National Player of the Week consideration, which is released on Thursday.
