DAHLONEGA – The University of North Georgia (UNG) softball team has announced its 2026 schedule as the Nighthawks prepare for Brooke O'Hair's second season at the helm at Haines & Carolyn Hill Stadium.

UNG enters the year riding momentum from a 2025 campaign that saw the Nighthawks finish 48-16 overall and 19-5 in Peach Belt Conference play, capture the PBC regular-season championship, reach the PBC Tournament final, run through the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional and Super Regional and earn a berth in the NCAA Division II Championship.

North Georgia will open the 2026 season at the Gulf Shores Invitational in Gulf Shores, Ala., beginning Jan. 31 with matchups against Union and West Alabama before closing the opening weekend on Feb. 1 against Valdosta State and Delta State.

The home slate begins Feb. 7 with a non-conference doubleheader against Valdosta State. UNG will then host the Gold City Classic presented by Mizuno on Feb. 14-15, welcoming Barry and Northwood for four games over the two-day event.

Peach Belt Conference action begins March 6 on the road at Georgia College & State University. The Nighthawks will play their first home PBC series March 13-14 against USC Aiken.

The Peach Belt Conference Tournament is set for May 8-10, where the top eight teams will compete in a single-elimination tournament hosted by the top seed.
