MOREHEAD, Ky. – The No. 18 University of North Georgia (UNG) rifle team was edged by No. 17 Morehead State, 4702-4647, despite multiple top-10 individual finishes by the Nighthawks.

North Georgia recorded an aggregate score of 4647, totaling 2294 in smallbore and 2353 in air rifle. The Eagles finished with 2328 in smallbore and 2374 in air rifle to secure the win.

Corbin Jockers paced the Nighthawks with a team-best aggregate score of 1171, posting a 581 in smallbore and a 590 in air rifle. Brianna Walter followed closely with an aggregate of 1161, shooting 573 in smallbore and 588 in air rifle.

Ian Lyons finished with a score of 577 in smallbore, while Courtney Allison matched Walter in the air rifle results with a 588. Abby Swain added a 587, and Allison, Swain, Walter and Jockers each finished among the top 10 individually in the air rifle discipline and aggregate scores.

North Georgia returns to action Feb. 1 in Lexington against top-seeded Kentucky.
