MURRAY, Ky. – The No. 18 University of North Georgia (UNG) rifle team turned in another record-tying performance in air rifle but came up short in a 4,715-4,652 loss to No. 8 Memphis on Friday.
North Georgia totaled 2,292 in smallbore but was edged by the Tigers' 2,339.
Corbin Jockers paced the Nighthawks with a 576, while
Courtney Allison tied her personal best with a 574.
The Nighthawks shot 2,360 in air rifle, tying the program record in the discipline for the second straight match.
Abby Swain led UNG with a 593, while Allison followed closely with a 592 and 46 centers.
Alison Sutherlin posted a 588, and Jockers rounded out the scoring with a 587.
The Nighthawks will return to action Jan. 31 when they travel to Morehead, Ky., to take on No. 17 Morehead State.
