DAHLONEGA – The University of North Georgia (UNG) women's tennis team was selected to finish second in the Peach Belt Conference Preseason Poll, while
Linn Goerdes earned PBC Preseason All-Conference honors.
North Georgia captured a share of the PBC regular-season title and won the PBC Tournament in 2025. The Nighthawks continued their postseason run into the NCAA Tournament before falling to conference foe Flagler in the national quarterfinals. North Georgia closed the season with a 21-7 overall record.
North Georgia opens the 2026 season ranked No. 3 nationally in the ITA Coaches Poll.
Goerdes earned preseason all-conference honors after posting a 14-9 singles record and a 14-8 doubles mark in 2025. Currently, Goerdes is ranked No. 3 in the region and No. 19 nationally in doubles.
North Georgia opens the spring 2026 season Jan. 31 with an exhibition against Georgia Gwinnett before opening the regular season Feb. 4 against Newberry.
