DAHLONEGA – The University of North Georgia (UNG) men's tennis team was selected to finish third in the Peach Belt Conference Preseason Poll, while
Pedro Liborio earned PBC Preseason All-Conference honors.
North Georgia closed the 2025 regular season tied for third in the conference standings. The Nighthawks carried that momentum into the PBC Tournament, advancing to the finals before falling to Flagler. North Georgia continued its postseason run in the NCAA Tournament, winning its first two matches and advancing to the national championship site for the first time in program history.
North Georgia opens the 2026 season ranked No. 10 nationally in the ITA Coaches Poll.
Liborio earned preseason all-conference honors after posting a 12-5 singles record and a 14-6 doubles mark in 2025. His performance resulted in All-Conference first-team honors in singles and second-team recognition in doubles. Liborio also became a two-time ITA regional champion, successfully defending his 2024 singles title.
Currently, Liborio is ranked No. 1 in the region and No. 3 nationally in singles.
North Georgia opens the spring 2026 slate Feb. 4 at home against Newberry.
