Enhanced Fan Engagement Activities Planned for This Week’s Nighthawk Soccer Matches; Beer Sales Pilot Program Scheduled for Lynn Cottrell Park

DAHLONEGA – Fans headed to cheer on the University of North Georgia soccer teams this week at Lynn Cottrell Park will be offered new engagement enhancements to enjoy. In addition to Fall Spirit Night on Wednesday and Family Day on Saturday, UNG will pilot a beer sales program on both days offering locally-brewed beer for sale to spectators for the first time ever.

Beer brewed locally by 52 West Brewing will be sold out of the concession stand on both days. Aramark, our concessions partner, will manage all operations associated with the sale of alcohol at these events. 
 
On Wednesday, the 10th-ranked Nighthawk women face Lincoln Memorial at 3:00 p.m. followed by the No. 13 UNG men taking on Lander in the team's Peach Belt Conference opener at 5:30. The games headline Fall Spirit Night with the announcement of the Fall Spirit Awards at halftime of the men's match. Afterwards festivities will conclude with the unveiling of the UNG Jeep, a live band and food/games in the upper parking lot. The after party event is open to the public.
 
On Saturday, the women will launch their conference schedule with a 1:00 p.m. start against USC Beaufort as part of UNG's Family Day. Additionally, Nigel's Kids Club will host its first event of the year with young members serving as honorary starters, taking penalty kicks at halftime and collecting player autographs after the game.
  
Nighthawks Drink Responsibly
• Alcoholic beverages are only available to fans aged 21 and above.
• Each transaction requires a valid government-issued ID and an identification check is required at all points of sale.
• Underage drinking is prohibited.
• Can purchase up to two (2) beverages per transaction.
• No sales will be made to fans that are visibly intoxicated.
• Sales start once the gates are open for each event. Gates open one hour before the published event start time.
• Fans are not permitted to leave the premises with alcoholic beverages and beverages consumed in the parking lot as part of the published tailgating policy are not permitted to enter the facility.
• Sales end at with 25:00 remaining in the second half of the final contest of the day.
