DAHLONEGA – Behind three goals including a pair of game-winners, University of North Georgia (UNG) women's soccer player
Grace McGill has been named as the Chick-fil-a Nighthawk of the Week.
McGill found the back of the net three times and added an assist in a pair of wins for the eighth-ranked Nighthawks. In a road win at (RV) Lenoir-Rhyne on Wednesday, she scored twice and contributed an assist. In Saturday's regular season finale at Clayton State, she added another goal. Both goals were the eventual game-winners.
The Nighthawk of the Week title sponsor is Chick-fil-a of Dahlonega, with each week's winner being treated to a complimentary combo meal at the Dahlonega restaurant. Located at 488 Morrison Moore Parkway East, Chick-fil-a loves to give back to the local area and is proud to be a community partner with UNG Athletics.
Beginning in the fall of 2014, the UNG athletic department began honoring one student-athlete each Monday morning as the Nighthawk of the Week. The award is chosen each Sunday evening by an award selection committee made up of members of the UNG athletics leadership team.
North Georgia will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 8 in quarterfinal action of the 2025 Peach Belt Conference Tournament where the top-seeded Nighthawks will host eighth-seeded Clayton State at 2:00 p.m. at the UNG Soccer Field at Lynn Cottrell Park.
