INDIANAPOLIS – The No. 8 University of North Georgia (UNG) women's soccer team was announced as the second seed of the Southeast Region and host of the opening rounds of the 2025 NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Championship with all games scheduled to be played in Dahlonega at the UNG Soccer Field at Lynn Cottrell Park.

The Nighthawks will host three games over three days during the opening weekend of the tournament.

UNG earned hosting rights after going 17-2-1 and winning the program's second Peach Belt Conference regular season in the past three years.

North Georgia will face seventh-seeded Anderson in its first matchup of the tournament at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 21. Third-seeded Columbus State will face sixth-seeded Lenoir-Rhyne in the other first round matchup in Dahlonega. The winners will play the second round match on Sunday, Nov. 23 at 3:00 p.m.

North Georgia has made 11 NCAA Tournament appearances in program history and has reached the postseason in every year under head coach Kayley Ralton's leadership since 2021.

The 2025 NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Championship features 56 teams selected across eight regions. Each region will consist of two sites with all games played on the campus of a participating institution. The two finalists in each region will advance to the third-round competition to be played Nov. 30.

Regional champions will meet in the quarterfinal round to be played Saturday, Dec. 6. The semifinal and championship games will take place Dec. 11 and 13 at Switchbacks FC Stadium hosted by Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
