AUGUSTA, Ga. - The Peach Belt Conference has selected University of North Georgia goalkeeper
Aleksa Lukic as the Goalkeeper of the Week honors as announced on Monday afternoon by the conference office.
Lukic helped the Nighthawks to a 2-0 week, where they clinched a share of the PBC regular season title on Saturday. He currently has three shutouts on the season which is second-best in the PBC.
On Wednesday, he faced 18 shots including seven on target with six saves to help UNG to a 4-1 victory over Clayton State. On Saturday, he faced seven shots making a pair of saves in a 2-0 victory win over Middle Georgia.
The weekly accolade is the first of his career.
Lukic and the No. 20 Nighthawks return to action when they travel to Lander on Wednesday, Oct. 29.
