Vasilissa Kupriyanova wrapped up play at the 2025 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Cup over the weekend.
As the marquee individual championship across the Division II, Division III, NAIA and Junior College levels in the fall, the 2025 ITA Cup is one of the most storied tournaments across the Division II, Division III, NAIA, and JUCO levels of play with participants earning their spots in the draws through the ITA Regional Small College Championships in which over 8,000 student-athletes competed across 60 Regional Championships across the country.

In the opening first round match, third-seeded Liborio outlasted Pablo Segura of Lubbock Christian in a 4-6, 6-1, 7-5 comeback win to move on to Friday's quarterfinal round. The junior rallied after dropping the opening set, dominating the second before clinching the match in a tight third set to secure his spot among the final eight.
In the quarterfinals, Liborio ousted Midwestern State's Germano Setti 6-4, 6-3 before falling to second-seeded Jan Kodjoed of Barry 6-3, 1-6, 1-6 in the main draw semifinals on Saturday.

Kupriyanova opened play Thursday, pushing West Alabama's Alexa Milliam to three sets before falling 6-7, 7-5, 6-4 in the women's singles draw. The sophomore traded long rallies with Milliam in one of the most competitive first-round matches of the day.

On Friday, she rebounded by breezing past Pete Komada of Central Oklahoma, 6-1, 6-1 in the quarterfinals of the back draw before dropping a 6-4, 6-7, 3-6 decision to Selin Sepkin of Midwestern State in the semifinals on Saturday.

The UNG men's and women's tennis teams will wrap up the fall schedule by hosting the UNG Fall Invitational on Oct. 24-25.
