STATESBORO, Ga. – The No. 18 University of North Georgia rifle team finished in third out of four teams on Saturday afternoon falling to No. 5 Georgia Southern and No. 14 Army at GSU's Shooting Sports Education Center.

The Nighthawks posted an aggregate score of 4,618 (2,280 in smallbore and 4,618 in air rifle) to land 113 points behind Georgia Southern and 52 points behind Army. North Georgia finished ahead of Schreiner (3,079).

Maya Cameron finished in 11^th in smallbore with a mark of 578 while Bri Walter was the team's top air rifle performer with a score of 587. Both scores were good for 11^th place in each discipline respectively.

A pair of personal record were set as Ian Lyons carded best in both air rifle (586) and smallbore (571). Ethan Bates also set new personal bests in both with scores of 580 in air rifle and 557 in smallbore.

North Georgia returns to action on Sunday, Oct. 19 with a road trip to Charleston, S.C. to take on No. 20 The Citadel.
