WOMEN'S SOCCER (3-1-1, 1-0 PBC)
The women's soccer team faces Young Harris in the Battle of Blood Mountain on Wednesday.

The Nighthawks defeated Georgia Southwestern in their Peach Belt Conference opener 3-0, earning a shutout victory in their lone match of the week.

UNG has allowed just two goals this season and the defense has earned two shutouts in a row. Young Harris comes to town in the midst of a slow start to the season. They fell to Georgia College in their conference opener last weekend. 

The Nighthawks lead the all-time series and have won five straight dating back to the 2017 season. In the last five wins UNG has earned a shutout in each of the five matches.

MEN'S SOCCER (3-3, 0-2 PBC)
After a slow start to Peach Belt Conference play, UNG looks to return to form when they host Young Harris in the Battle of Blood Mountain on Wednesday.

The Mountain Lions are 1-1-2 this season, coming off one of the best seasons in program history last year. Young Harris went 14-0-1 last year with their only non-winning result coming against UNG. The Mountain Lions lead the all-time series over North Georgia.

Men's Golf

The No. 6 University of North Georgia men's golf is set to tee off its 2022 fall season at the Lander Bearcat Fall Invitational on Monday, September 12.
 
UNG is on the heels of its best season in program history which culminated in the program's first ever National Championship appearance. The Nighthawks return three Peach Belt All-Conference selections to a team that finished 11th in the NCAA Championships and reached as high as fourth in the national rankings.

The two-day Bearcat Fall Invitational features seven schools from the Peach Belt Conference and nine preseason ranked teams in the field. It is being held at Forest Hills Golf Club in Augusta where UNG will serve as host of the 2023 Peach Belt Conference Championship in May.

Men's and Women's tennis kicks off the fall season as they head to Columbus, Ga. to participate in the Columbus State Invitational on Saturday and Sunday. 

Both teams are coming off NCAA Tournament Appearances and look to continue each program's upward momentum. Men's tennis went 15-7 last year eventually falling to Flagler College in the Round of 31. Women's tennis compiled a 15-5 record last season, falling in the Round of 32 to Columbus State.
