WOMEN'S SOCCER (0-0-0, 0-0-0 PBC)
The women's soccer team will open up the season at home against UNC Pembroke, Thursday afternoon with kickoff set for 3 p.m. The Nighthawks, under head coach Kayley Ralton, will be led by Preseason All-Conference honorees Abbie Crane and Maysoon El-Shami. UNG was picked to finish third in the Peach Belt Conference by the head coaches.

UNC Pembroke was picked to win the Conference of Carolinas in the preseason poll after winning the league last year and advancing to the NCAA tournament with a 15-5 record overall and 11-1 in conference play.

North Georgia will open up the season at home Thursday at 7 p.m. against Lee University.  UNG, led by head coach Pat Parris, will be looking to prove some doubters after being picked fifth in the Peach Belt Conference preseason coaches poll. The Nighthawks bring in many new faces this season and will try and make a run toward playing in the national tournament.

Lee was picked to finish third in the preseason GSC poll. The Flames had three players make the Preseason All-GSC Squad, which was tied for the most in the league.
