ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - The University of North Georgia men's basketball team fell in the Peach Belt quarterfinals Tuesday at second-seeded Flagler, 69-59.
North Georgia held the lead for the first eight minutes of the game, scoring the first four points of the contest and holding on to a small advantage until the Saints went on a 10-0 run to take a 14-11 deficit to a 21-14 lead. The Nighthawks scored the next five points to trim the lead to two, but Flagler extended the lead back out to 10 and led by nine at halftime.
The Saints pulled away in the second half, not allowing North Georgia to get closer than eight points in the second half on their way to the semifinals this weekend.
