AUGUSTA, Ga. – The University of North Georgia men's basketball team was picked to finish sixth in the Peach Belt Conference preseason rankings, and Frank Champion was one of five players in the league selected for the Preseason All-Conference team.

North Georgia finished 14-14 last season, with the Nighthawks' season ending in a loss versus Flagler in the Peach Belt Conference tournament. Champion earns a preseason All-Conference selection after leading the team in points and rebounds and was second in assists last season. Champion earned All-Region and All-Conference honors last season.

The Nighthawks begin their 2022-23 season in the Peach Belt/Conference Carolinas Challenge against Limestone on November 11th. North Georgia hosts Lincoln Memorial for the Nighthawks' home opener at Lynn Cottrell Arena at the UNG Convocation Center on November 19th.
