AIKEN, S.C. - The University of North Georgia men's soccer team defeated the USC Aiken 4-2 on the road in Peach Belt Conference action as both teams wrapped up the regular season. Neither side was able to find a goal in the first half, but the Nighthawks jumped out to a 3-0 lead early in the second half, scoring three goals in an 11-minute span.
Joe McInnes opened up the scoring with a goal in the 49th minute assisted by
Max Garnett. McInnes had a hot foot, putting a second goal in the 50th minute assisted by
Alejandro DeVillena.
Christian Carlton joined McInnes in the scoring column with a header in the 60th minute assisted by Santiago Jimenez.
Will Bentley put a ball in the back of the net in the 77th minute assisted again by DeVillena.
The Pacers responded with goals in the 73rd minute and the 86th minute, but they could not overcome the Nighthawk's offense.
