DAHLONEGA - After finding an equalizer midway through the second half, Montevallo pushed forward and found the game winner as the Falcons defeated the University of North Georgia men's soccer team, 2-1, Wednesday evening.
UM scored quickly in the eighth minute as Edin Hernandez took a shot from 35 yards out that was slotted perfectly inside the post. The score would remain at 1-0 through the first half and into the second.
North Georgia tied the match in the 66th minute when
Alejandro DeVillena found a loose ball inside the six and poked it into the net, but the Falcons scored once more eight minutes later as Julio Rojo put the ball in the goal to give Montevallo the 2-1 win.

- Tonight's game was the second most attended men's soccer game in Division II this year with 757 members of the Nighthawk Nation in attendance.
