ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - In the regular season finale, the No. 12 University of North Georgia men's tennis team won in convincing fashion over Flagler, 4-1, Saturday afternoon.
The Nighthawks cruised to the doubles point with
Zach Waldow and
Joaquin Benoit winning on the second line and
Jared Bones and
Giulio Sassi on the third line, both at 6-3 scores.
Kevin Candido Magnusson kept the momentum going with a 6-3, 6-2 win on the sixth singles line before Flagler got their lone point with a straight set win on No. 3. Sassi seized momentum back to UNG with a 6-4, 6-0 win at No. 5 before
Joaquin Benoit finished the match with a 6-2, 7-5 win at No. 2 singles.
North Georgia will now await the conclusion of the PBC season this weekend to figure out the seeding for the PBC Tournament April 26.
