GREENWOOD, S.C. - The No. 12 University of North Georgia men's tennis team fell Tuesday afternoon at No. 6 Lander, 5-2.
North Georgia fought in doubles action, but the Bearcats ultimately clinched the point by winning all three matches.
Ryan Gaskin and Kevin Candido took the top Lander duo to a 7-5 match.
The Bearcats went on to win at the No. 5, 3 and 4 lines to clinch the match before Gaskin got North Georgia on the board with a 6-3, 6-4 win on the top line. After LU took a three-set win on the second line, Candido took a 4-6, 7-5, 10-2 win on the sixth line to wrap up the match.
The Nighthawks will look to win the regular season finale at Flagler Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.
