DAHLONEGA - Malik Hardy finished with a game high 27 points, but the University of North Georgia men's basketball team's comeback fell short as they dropped their sixth straight in an 83-75 loss to Georgia Southwestern Monday night in the UNG Convocation Center.
Georgia Southwestern jumped out to as many as 15 points in front late in the first half before taking a 45-31 lead into the locker room at halftime. North Georgia answered right out of the break, holding GSW without a point for the first 5:12 of the second half, going on a 15-0 run to take a 46-45 lead.
The game would go back-and-forth before GSW used late free throws to pull away for the final eight point win.
NOTES
- Hardy's 27 points came off 8-for-15 shooting, including hitting all five of his threes. 
Zach Brown finished with 14 points, while 
Darnell Snyers added 11.
- Outside of Hardy's five threes, UNG was just 4-for-18 from behind the arc.
- GSW had a +20 rebound margin including a 14-5 advantage on the offensive glass.
