DAHLONEGA - Brady Eeles finished off a stellar weekend at the plate, going 3-for-4 Saturday as the University of North Georgia baseball team completed the season sweep of USC Aiken with a 17-3 win.
North Georgia wasted no time getting on the scoreboard, plating four in the first inning on an
Andres Perez RBI single, a
Bill LeRoy RBI double and a two RBI double from Eeles. The Nighthawks added two more in the second on a sacrifice bunt and a
Nik Levensteins RBI double that made the score 6-0.
The Pacers got two runs back with a RBI single in the fourth and a solo homer in the sixth, but UNG answered in a big way, scoring seven in the sixth, punctuated by a
Crews Taylor RBI double that plated two runs. USC Aiken got one of them back in the seventh, but again the Nighthawks posted runs in the bottom of the frame, going for four runs with the final runs crossing on a three-run blast by
Will Hardigree.
