MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - Kody Shubert put up a game-high 19 points as the University of North Georgia men's basketball team took down Coker Saturday, 67-60, in the final day of the Tri-Conference Challenge, hosted by Georgia College.
The Cobras jumped out to a seven point lead, but UNG answered with a 6-0 run in less than a minute to cut the lead back down to a single point early in the first half. UNG took their first lead of the game at the 11:45 mark of the first half on a Shubert three and then, after Coker hit a three, Shubert hit another shot from distance that gave UNG the lead for good.
NOTES
- North Georgia swept their way through the challenge, marking the second time in as many seasons that the Nighthawks have done so.
- Shubert's 19 points came on 6-of-13 shooting.
Frank Champion was a rebound shy of a double-double, putting up 17 points and nine boards.
- UNG went 21-for-29 from the charity stripe. Coker was 10-for-18.

North Georgia will open the home portion of the schedule next weekend as they host the Ross Morkem Memorial at the UNG Convocation Center. UNG will take on Union Friday with a scheduled tip time of 8 p.m.
