DAHLONEGA - Abbie Franklin led all scorers with 19 points as the No. 16 University of North Georgia women's basketball team dominated from the opening tip in the Peach Belt Conference quarterfinal to defeat Augusta, 82-47, Wednesday night.
North Georgia jumped out to a 14-2 lead through the opening four minutes of the game and didn't look back as the lead never dropped below double figures.
The Nighthawks stretched their lead to as many as 39 late to advance on in the PBC Tournament.
NOTES
- Franklin continued her great shooting in the month of March during her collegiate career, going 4-for-6 from beyond the arc in the game.

Abby Hubert put up 11.
Kyra Davis contributed 10 off the bench.
- The Nighthawks shot 60 percent from the floor, a season high.
- In other PBC quarterfinals, Lander defeated Young Harris, Clayton State downed Francis Marion and Columbus State pushed past USC Aiken.
