DAHLONEGA - No. 23 UNC Pembroke shot over 60 percent from the floor in the first half as they were able to fend off the University of North Georgia men's basketball team with an 81-65 win Saturday afternoon.
The Braves jumped out to a 24-10 lead early in the opening half, but the game never got too far away as the Nighthawks hung around the entirety of the 40 minutes, cutting the lead to as few as 11 multiple times in the middle of the second half. The Braves answered each time to keep UNG at bay and clinch the win.
