HICKORY, N.C. - After losing the doubles point, the No. 24 University of North Georgia men's tennis team took four of the singles matches to earn a 4-3 win Saturday over Lenoir-Rhyne.
The Bears worked quickly to claim the Nos. 1 and 3 doubles lines to get the point going into singles, but
Ryan Gaskin got the match tied with a 6-3, 6-4 win on the top singles line.
Paul Pahun put the Nighthawks in front after claiming a three-set win at No. 3.
L-R tied the match with a three-set win on the No. 2 line, but North Georgia claimed the next two to clinch the match with
Zack Waldow winning on No. 4 and
Mark Laishley clinching it with a straight set win at No. 5.
The Nighthawks turn around tomorrow morning to battle Catawba at 10 a.m.
